European researchers' night 2018

On 28th September 2018 Medical University - Varna, together with Educational Centre - Varna, will celebrate once again the European Researchers' Night.

This year the event, aimed at increasing public recognition of researchers' work and the role of science in the society, is dedicated to the contribution of research and innovation to the preservation of cultural heritage. The focus of this year's Researchers' Night will be also the topic of encouraging cultural and creative industries and the researchers' key role in these processes.

On 28th September, Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Rousse, Varna, Burgas and Sozopol, together with the European cities, participating in the project, will present their programme to the public. In Varna the Researchers' Night events will be held at Medical University - Varna, the Museum of History of Medicine, Yunashki Salon and the Naval Museum.

 

Over the years the European Researchers' Night has become an emblematic event and a regular meeting, where researchers from different European Union Member States present their achievements and challenges to the general public within one day.

In Bulgaria the European Researchers' Night 2018 takes place with the financial support of the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, Project K-TRIO 3 (Researchers in Knowledge Triangle), with the support of the team of UNITe Project (Universities for ScieNce, Informatics and Technologies in e-Society), funded by the European Regional Development Fund under Operational Programme Science and Education for Smart Growth 2014-2020.

European Researchers' Night 2018 takes place within Project K-TRIO 3 (Researchers in Knowledge Triangle), funded by the European Union under Horizon 2020 Operational Programme Science and Education for Smart Growth 2014-2020, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Contract 818 757
