The Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borisov highly appreciated the efforts of the management of MU-Varna for providing perfect conditions for training medical specialists at the Shumen Affiliate. Together with the Minister of Finance, Mr. Vladislav Goranov, the Regional Governor and representatives of the local authorities, the Prime Minister visited the building of the higher education institution on Tuesday (15th October).
He expressed his wonderful impression of the University facilities, as well as the resources that are being invested in the education of nurses and midwives, who are also some of the most in-demand specialists in Bulgaria.
"Everything you are doing is commendable. You have the responsible task and mission to attract and educate young people in this difficult profession," said Mr. Borisov in the presence of the Director of the Affiliate Prof. Soniya Toncheva, the Vice Rector of MU-Varna Prof. Todorka Kostadinova and the Assistant Rector Eng. Deyan Grancharov. He also encouraged the intention to build a modern simulation centre for training future medics.
The management of the Varna Medical University thanked for the support and assured the Prime Minister that it would continue to invest financial and expert resources in order to be useful in the implementation of the state and local education and health care policies.
