An academic lecture “Deglacial Sea Levels and the Reconnection of the Black Sea with the Mediterranean Sea“ was delivered by Prof. Edouard Bard - Chair of the Department “Climate and Ocean Evolution” at Collège de France. Prof. Bard has his scientific laboratory in Aix-en-Provence and has numerous studies in the field of climatology, oceanography and geology.
The lecture was held on 13th December 2018 and was attended by students, PhD students, members of the academic staff of MU – Varna as well as specialists from the Institute of Oceanology in Varna. Prof. Bard and the delegation from the French Institute in Bulgaria met representatives of the Department of Chemistry, the University Centre for Maritime Healthcare and the Department of International Relations, with whom they discussed possibilities for future joint projects and initiatives.
Prof. Bard’s visit was organized with the assistance of the French Institute in Bulgaria, with which MU –Varna has a long-term partnership.
