For the ninth consecutive year students from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University have had a summer internship at the training and clinical facilities of Medical University - Varna. Students from the Kharkov State Medical University also have had their summer internship here for the second consecutive year. On Friday, 19th July, twenty Russian and three Ukrainian students received their certificates for successfully completed internship from Prof. Todorka Kostadinova, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Zlatislav Stoyanov.
Over the last two weeks, the visiting students of medicine, dental medicine and pharmacy have been trained under the expert guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Staykova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Bozhkov, Prof. Dr. Tihomir Georgiev and Assoc. Prof. Pharm. Evgeni Grigorov. All lecturers conducting the summer internships shared their appreciation of the excellent level of the academic training, high motivation, discipline and thoroughness of the Russian students. The management of Medical University - Varna thanked the lecturers, conducting the summer internships, for their assistance and responsible attitude towards the Moscow interns.
At the certificate award ceremony, the students extended gratitude to the management of MU-Varna for turning the exchange between the universities into a tradition, to the students at MU-Varna - for the assistance and organization of the cultural and social programme apart from the clinical practice, and to the International Cooperation Department for the entire organization of the summer internship.
At the same time 20 of our students and lecturers set off to Moscow to conduct their summer internship on a reciprocal basis at the partner university of MU-Varna.
