MU-Varna Won a Special Prestigious Award in the Ranking "Best Universities in Bulgaria"

The annual prizes of 24 Hours Newspaper for "Best Universities in Bulgaria" were awarded at an official ceremony, held on 12th February in Sofia.

Following the first place awards in the professional field of Public Health - in 2016, and Medicine - in 2017, now Medical University - Varna received a special award for "Most Cited Scientific Publications".

This recognition is of utmost importance for the implementation of the national research strategy in the Republic of Bulgaria 2017-2030. This is the right direction for the development of a modern, high-tech university that has been working in order to be a recognizable and equal partner at the international education and science market.

The Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Boyko Penkov awarded the prize to Prof. Todorka Kostadinova, PhD, Vice Rector for International Cooperation at MU-Varna, who received the award on behalf of the Rector Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov and the entire academic management.


The management of Medical University - Varna expresses its gratitude to the entire team that is working in the field of education and science, and to all those who take care of people's health.

 

The first rating of higher schools done by "24 Hours" was in 2004, and the first formal one, involving  the Ministry of Education and Science and the consortium in charge of rankings - in 2011. The rating system compares the overall performance of universities according to a variety of criteria and professional fields.
