The second training course for continuing education entitled "Emergency Medical Care - History, Approaches and Activities", organized by the Regional College of the Bulgarian Association of Healthcare Professionals (BAHP) was conducted at First Auditorium at Medical University - Varna on 24th February 2018.
The course was attended by healthcare professionals from the cities of Varna, Rousse, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Targovishte, Dobrich, etc., the majority of them, working at Emergency Medical Centres (EMC). Lecturers at the training were Prof. Dr. Stoyan Milanov - National Emergency Medicine Consultant, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lora Georgieva and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stavrev from the Faculty of Public Health and Dr. Desislava Katelieva - Chairperson of the National Association of Emergency Medical Workers.
In her closing speech, the Chairperson of the Regional College of BAHP Raina Boyadzhieva extended special thanks to Assoc. Prof. Georgieva for being the inspirer and the main driving force during the training.
The same training team implemented the theoretical module of the first Varna Summer School for Emergency Services for medical students from fifth and sixth year of study at Medical University - Varna, which took place in July 2017 and whose positive response provoked the implementation of the present course.
