“Sport” sector

The team of Physical Education Scientific and Educational Sector (SES) is responsible for the physical training of the future physicians. Physical Education is a compulsory form of education for the students, starting with the first courses in all the specialties at the Medical University in Varna.

The Department has organized dozens of winter and summer sports camps and tournaments in its 40-year history. The Department is a long standing participant in the national student groups and in the finals of the student games. The peak of sports mastership is the participation of four medical students at the Olympic Games - in 1968 in Mexico and in 1980 in Moscow.

National Athletics contestant with plenty of republican titles in sprint races, a national indoor record in 200-metre sprint. Participations at the European and World Junior Championships in 1987 and 1988. She graduated from "V. Levski" NSA - Sofia in 1994. Acquired specialties: Athletics Coach and Physical Education Teacher. Basic scientific research - in the field of student sport and sport for health. She has been a lecturer at MU - Varna since 2003.

She graduated from "V. Levski" NSA - Sofia in 2005. Since 2006 she has been a Physical education lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, Communications, Pedagogics and Sports. Acquired specialties: Physical Education Teacher, Tennis Coach and Sports Journalism.

He graduated from "V. Levski" National Sports Academy in 2007 – Bachelor's Degree: first specialty - Physical Education Teacher and second specialty - Athletics Coach; Master's Degree: Sports Animation in Tourism. He worked as a ski instructor at "Vitosha Ski" between 2006 and 2008. He has been a part-time lecturer at Medical University - Varna since 2008, and a full-time lecturer since 2010.
