2007 – Graduated from Medical University of Sofia, Faculty of Dental Medicine – Master of Dentistry.
2011 – Assistant Professor at Department of Conservative Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry in the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University of Varna.
2013 – Assistant Professor at Department of Conservative Dentistry and Oral Pathology in the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University of Varna.
2015 – Acquired specialty in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics.
2019 – Acquired doctor's degree after thesis defense on topic „Dentin hypersensitivity – social, diagnostic and treatment aspects".
2019 – Chief Assistant Professor in the same Department
2024/2025 – Master's degree of Prosthodontics and new technologies at University of Siena, Italy
She is a course supervisor of third year students (Bulgarian training program).
Dr. Balcheva participates in the practical training of students in Dental Medicine – in Bulgarian and English, in the disciplines Propaedeutics of Conservative Dentistry and Clinics of Conservative Dentistry, as well as in State Internship in the same specialty.
Dr. Balcheva has 10 scientific publications and has participated in 24 scientific congresses (with oral and poster presentations). The researches are mainly in the field of laser dentistry and operative dentistry.
