Dr. Gergana Yordanova Ivanova-Bobcheva was born in 1987 in the city of Veliko Tarnovo. In 2006, she graduated with honors from the Language School "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" in Veliko Tarnovo, where she studied German and Spanish. In 2012, she graduated in Dental Medicine from the Medical University of Varna with honors. Since the same year, she has been a part-time assistant at the Department of "PDM and Orthodontics" at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of Varna. Since 2013, she has been a full-time assistant at the same department. Between 2014 and 2018, she was a dental specialist in Orthodontics at the UMDC-Varna, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Varna. In 2016, she became a PhD student in the scientific specialty "Orthopedic Dentistry" at the Department of Orthodontics.
On June 7, 2018, Dr. Ivanova obtained her scientific and educational degree of "Doctor" and defended her dissertation on the topic: "Rotated upper first molars and the need for their correction." On July 1, 2018, she received a diploma for a recognized specialty in Orthodontics after successfully passing the state exam.
In May 2021, after a competition, she assumed the academic position of "Chief Assistant" at the Department of Orthodontics.
Teaching Experience:
Dr. Gergana Ivanova-Bobcheva conducts practical exercises in Orthodontics for students of the 4th and 5th years and for dental medicine interns.
Publication
Dr. Gergana Ivanova-Bobcheva has more than 10 scientific publications in the field of Orthodontics, published in Bulgarian and international journals. She has participated in over 20 national and international conferences and symposia.
