The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Oral Pathology was established in 2013 after the split of the former Department of Conservative Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry (2006). Prof. Vladimir Panov was the first elected Head of the department and held this position for 8 years until 2021. Since 2021, assoc. prof. Tsvetelina Borisova-Papancheva has been elected Head of the Department.
