Dr. Zornitsa Svetlozarova Valcheva, PhD was born on September 28, 1989, in the city of Yambol. In 2008, she graduated with full honors from "Atanas Radev" Mathematical High School in Yambol. In 2014, she completed her studies in Dental Medicine in Sofia with excellent academic performance. That same year, she became a full-time assistant at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University – Varna.
From 2015 to 2019, she specialized in Orthodontics as a dental resident at the University Medical and Dental Center – Varna, Faculty of Dental Medicine – Varna. In 2016, she was enrolled as a PhD student in an independent study program in the scientific specialty "Prosthetic Dentistry" at the Department of Orthodontics.
On January 14, 2019, she obtained the educational and scientific degree "Doctor" after successfully defending her dissertation titled:"Dentofacial Deformities in the Primary and Mixed Dentition in Children with Difficult mouth breathing."
On June 1, 2019, she received her diploma in the recognized specialty of Orthodontics after passing the state examination. In May 2021, following a competitive selection process, she was appointed to the academic position of Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics.
Teaching Experience: Dr. Zornitsa Valcheva conducts practical orthodontic training for 4th- and 5th-year dental students, dental medicine interns, and students in the field of Speech Therapy.
She has authored over 20 scientific publications in the field of Orthodontics in both Bulgarian and international journals.
