He was born on 07 oct 1960 in the town of Sofia. He graduated from secondary education in 1979 at the IV language school with French language teaching "Frédéric Joliot-Curie" - Varna and higher education in 1987 at the Higher Medical Institute - Varna. Acquired specialty in nervous diseases in 1997. Previous professional position: From 1987 to 1992 - general practitioner in Polyclinic- Beloslav. From 1992 to 2008 - neurologist in Intensive care unit, IInd Neurological Clinic, MHAT “Sveta Marina"- Varna. During the period 1992 – 1996 he was a regular postgraduate student at the Department of Nervous Diseases of the Medical University - Varna. After successfully defending his dissertation on "Dynamics of spectral electroencephalographic (EEG) analysis and neurocartographic imaging in patients with acute cerebral circulation disorders", in 1996 he was awarded the educational and scientifical degree of Doctor. Current professional position: Since 2008 Assoc. professor in Neurology, Medical University- Varna; Medical College- Varna. He is also a lecturer in pre-medical first aid. He has undergone successful training in Health Management, Intensive Care and Resuscitation of Neurological Diseases, Stroke Prevention, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy and holds certificates of proficiency for highly specialized activities in Evoked Potentials and Clinical Electroencephalography. He is fluent in spoken and written French, English and Russian. His main topics of clinical interests are in the field of experimental and clinical electrophysiology, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, emergency neurology and neurorehabilitation.
He has 49 scientific presentations in national and international medical forums. He is the author of more than 84 publications, including one independent monograph, co-authorship in six monographs, co-authorship in one textbook and other publications in various scientific journals and collections.
