Assoc. Prof. Veselina Slavova is a graduate of the 4th Language High School "Frédéric Joliot-Curie." She completed her higher education at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski," Faculty of Philosophy, majoring in Philosophy.
In 2008, she defended her doctoral dissertation on “The Phenomenological Discourse on the Body in Philosophical Anthropology" at the Department of Philosophy, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski."
In 2014, she received her habilitation as Associate Professor in Ethics at the Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna. She teaches the courses “Medical Ethics and Deontology" and “Philosophy."
Since 2015, she has been a member of the Research Ethics Committee at the Medical University – Varna.
She is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Medical College – Varna.

She has authored over 50 publications in Bulgarian and international journals, including the monograph “Ethics as First Philosophy. A Study on the Ideas of Emmanuel Levinas," as well as numerous articles on medical ethics and phenomenology.
