She graduated from the specialty "Dental Technician" in Varna in 1983 and started working in the dental laboratory at the District Dental Polyclinic-Varna. For the period 1984–1986 she was a part-time lecturer, and from the academic year 1986/1987 she worked on a full-time employment contract as a lecturer and participated in the practical training in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics.
In 2000, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, and in 2010, she obtained a Master's degree in Sports Psychology. In June 2013, she obtained a Doctor's degree after defending a dissertation titled "Retrospection, Analysis and Socio-Psychological Problems in the Preparation and Implementation of a Professional Bachelor's Degree in Dental Technology" - scientific specialty: "Social Medicine and Organization of Healthcare and Pharmacy" - code 03.01.53. She habilitated in 2015, when, after a competition, she took up the academic position of "Associate Professor" at MC-Varna in the scientific specialty "Public Health Management". In January 2025, she obtained the scientific degree "Doctor of Science" after successfully defending her dissertation "Professional Association and Development of the Activities of Dental Technicians in Bulgaria".
She leads lecture training and exercises at the Faculty of Dental Technology in the mandatory academic disciplines - Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and the elective academic disciplines - Current Technologies in Orthodontics and Introduction to Scientific Research (for the specialties "Medical Cosmetologist" and "Rehabilitator" in the Medical College). From November 2015 to the end of March 2021, she is a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Department of Clinical Medical Sciences. She is currently a lecturer at the Dental Technician Department.
In 1996, she was a member of an expert and working group, together with lecturers from Plovdiv and Sofia, for the preparation of new curricula and programs, as a preparation for the introduction of the "Specialist" qualification in the specialty "Dental Technician". She participated (together with representatives of the Union of Dental Technicians in Bulgaria –Regional Collegium Varna) in an expert group for the approval of the bases for practical training and pre-graduate internship for students of the specialty "Dental Technician" at the Medical College - Varna.
By orders of the Minister of Health (2018 and 2019), she was appointed as a member of the examination committee for the state exam for acquiring the specialty "Public Health".
In 2015, 2017 and 2019, she registered three utility models applicable in dental orthodontic practice with the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
She has participated in the editorial board of Journal of Dental Science, Oral and Maxillofacial Research (JDSOMR), Open Access Journal and on the editorial board of the journal "Dental Laboratory" (official publication of the Bulgarian Dental Association) from 2020 to 2022.
In 2013 and 2014, she participated in Project No. BG 051PO0001-3.3.07-0002 "Student Internships", as an academic mentor to 16 students from the Faculty of Dental Technology at MC-Varna.
In 2023, he participated as a researcher in the project "Knowledge, attitudes and practices related to cross-infection control in dental laboratories".
In 2017, she was awarded a Certificate of Honor for outstanding contributions to the development of the Medical College-Varna and a Certificate of Honor for contribution to the scientific activities of the Medical College-Varna.
She is the author of over 140 publications, including one monograph, three textbooks and co-author with colleagues from MC-Plovdiv of a Collection of test questions for assessment and control of knowledge in Denture Technology. For the period 2011 - 2025, she has over 48 participations in international and national scientific forums and over 110 citations of scientific works.
