Биография

​Born on November 10, 1954, in Razgrad. Graduated from the First Language High School - Varna with German language and medicine at the Medical University of Varna in 1979. Since 1983, she has been an assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology at MU-Varna. Obtained a medical specialty in infectious diseases in 1988. In January 2015, she successfully defended her dissertation on the topic "Psychological Balance of Hospitalized Patients with Infectious Diseases," for which she was awarded the scientific degree of "Doctor," and in July of the same year, she received the scientific title of "Associate Professor."

Throughout her professional career, Assoc. Prof. Radkova has honed her knowledge and skills: participating in a specialized ultrasound course, a course for auditors under Regulation 18, and a course on the EFQM model.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radkova, conducts teaching activities (theoretical and practical training) for specialties such as medicine in the 5th year and state internship in the 6th year, and the elective discipline "Tropical Medicine" at MU-Varna; nurse and midwife at MU-Varna and affiliates in Sliven, Shumen, and Veliko Tarnovo; medical laboratory technician and public health inspector at Medical College -Varna; elective discipline "Diseases Subject to International Health Regulations" for students in the specialty Healthcare Management, as well as practical and theoretical training in postgraduate, continuing, and individual education and specialization courses.

She supervises the training of residents and doctoral students in the specialty "Infectious Diseases." Currently, she is the scientific advisor of three doctoral students.

Simultaneously, she carries out expert medical diagnostic and therapeutic activities. She is the head of the Second Clinic of Infectious Diseases at UMHAT “St. Marina" EAD.

Assoc. Prof. Radkova is a regional consultant for Northeastern Bulgaria. She is included in the expert groups updating consensus documents for the treatment of acute viral hepatitis, transmissive infections, and infectious diarrhea, and in the WHO Program for Combating AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

She is a member of the editorial board of Scripta Scientifica Medica, a publication of the University Press of MU-Varna.

Participated as an expert in Project No. BG05M20P001-2.016-0025 "Creating a Multidisciplinary Educational Environment for Developing Staff with Integral Competencies in Biomedicine and Healthcare," under the Operational Program "Science and Education for Smart Growth."

She is a laureate of numerous awards for her long-term clinical and scientific research activities, including "Physician of the Year" for 2020 by the Bulgarian Medical Association; award for "Contribution to Healthcare and Medicine" for 2020 by the Open Society Club - Varna; individual award "Varna" – 2021 for outstanding contribution to the organization and treatment of patients with COVID-19 in Varna and overall scientific research, teaching, and medical activities in the field of infectious diseases by the Municipal Council - Varna, and Honorary Badge with Blue Ribbon for 2021 by MU-Varna.

Публикации

Her main scientific works are in the field of infectious hepatology and transmissive infectious diseases. She has numerous publications and participations in international and national scientific forums.
