Dr. Emil Milev was born on 25.01.1968 in Kotel, Bulgaria. He obtained his medical master degree in 1994 at Medical University of Varna. Since 1994, he has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He acquired a specialty in Pharmacology in 1997. He is a co-author of about 15 specialized publications and about 10 participations in congresses and symposia. His publications and contributions are mainly in the field of phytotherapy, history of medicine, teaching methodology at the Medical University, multimedia tools in teaching, and research on medicinal use. He is a co-author of 2 editions of a pharmacology textbook for medical colleges. He participates in the Bulgarian and English language training in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology for medical students, and in Pharmacology for dental students Dr. Milev teaches the course in the elective discipline “Phytotherapy".
