Биография

Iskren Boyanov Velikov was born on 01.03.1983 in Razgrad. In 2007 he graduated "Dental Medicine" at the Medical University of Plovdiv. He obtained a "Master's" degree and a "Doctor of Dental Medicine" qualification. During the period 2007 - 2008 he worked as a "Doctor of Dental Medicine" in the Razgrad region. Until September 2009 he worked as an assistant at the Department of "Anatomy, Histology and Embryology" at the Medical University of Plovdiv. From September 2009 to the present he has been an assistant at the Department of "Anatomy and Cell Biology" at the Medical University of Varna. In December 2013 he obtained a specialty in "Anatomy, Histology and Cytology". Since February 2019, he has been a regular doctoral student at the Department of "Anatomy and Cell Biology" at the Medical University - Varna. In January 2024, he was dismissed as a regular doctoral student with the right to defend his thesis.

He conducts practical seminars in the disciplines "Cytology, General Histology and Embryology", as well as in the discipline "Human Anatomy and Histology". He teaches Bulgarian and English-language classes to students in the specialties "Medicine", "Dental Medicine" and "Pharmacy". His scientific interests are in the field of neuroscience, and in particular the development of the cerebellum.
