Dr Zhenya Dimitrova was born in 1975 in the city of Varna. Graduated from Medical University - Varna in 2000 with highest distinction and Golden Hippocrates Award. In 2002 took IELTS Academic with overall score 7,5 and in 2004 PLAB 1 test. From 2001 she is a resident at the Clinic of Dermatology and Venereology, Varna. In 2005 she acquired medical specialty in Dermatology and Venereology. Since 2006 working as an assistant, currently - chief assist. prof. at the educational sector of Dermatovenereology, Medical University - Varna. Obtained PhD in 2017 with thesis on “Pathogenic Factors and Comorbidity in Seborrheic Dermatitis. Role of Vitamin D".
Dr Dimitrova's teaching activities include practical seminars in dermatology and venerology for medical and dental students, seminar classes in the dermatology module with general medicine specialists.
Dr Dimitrova's scientific interests are in the field of seborrheic dermatitis and allergic dermatoses, psoriasis, rosacea, therapy of skin diseases. Author and co-author of more than 40 publications in Bulgarian and International periodicals, Dermatology textbooks in Bulgarian and English language. Participation in national and international scientific forums and workshops as attendee and lecturer.
