Born on March 5, 1986, in Varna. In 2011, she graduated with a degree in Medicine from the Medical University, Varna. Since February 2012, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Section of Medical Genetics (now Department) within the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Genetics, and since 2018, she has held the position of Chief Assistant Professor. In 2015, she obtained a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski", and in 2017, she defended her doctoral thesis titled "Maternal Biochemical Screening as a Method for Prenatal Genetic Prevention". She has attended specialized courses (Dysmorphology, Fundamentals of Medical Genetics, Oncogenetics, Reproductive Genetics) in the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Poland. She acquired specialization in Medical Genetics in 2017.
There
are 31 full-text publications and 53 published in abstract. Her scientific
interests are in the field of molecular-genetic methods for diagnosis of rare
genetic diseases and common socially significant diseases with hereditary
predisposition.
