Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Monika Toshkova Todorova completed her secondary education at the "Baba Tonka" High School of Mathematics in Ruse. In 2004, she earned a Master's degree in Medicine from the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna. Since 2007, she has been working as a resident physician in the Central Clinical Laboratory at University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment "St. Marina" – Varna.
In 2013, she obtained a specialty in Clinical Laboratory Medicine. In 2019, she earned a Master's degree in Health Management from the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development – Plovdiv.
She was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Laboratory at the Medical University – Varna in 2018. In 2023, she successfully defended her PhD thesis on the topic:
“Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 in Pregnant Women and Newborns."
Since 2024, she has held the academic rank of Chief Assistant Professor in the same department.
Currently, she is also practicing as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist at ACC Medical Center – Varna.
