She
graduated in Medicine from the Higher Medical Institute – Varna in 1988. Since
1990, she has been an assistant at the Department of Physiology at the same
institute. She obtained a specialization in "Animal and Human
Physiology" in 1994, after which she successively held positions as Senior
Assistant and Chief Assistant. In 2009, she defended her dissertation on the
topic: “The influence of functional brain asymmetry on the
hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian hormonal axis in women with different handedness,
age, and physiological conditions.” Her main scientific research focuses on
neuroendocrine asymmetries.
She has over 30 scientific publications in both foreign and Bulgarian journals—such as International Journal of Neuroscience, Laterality, Human Physiology, Central European Journal of Medicine, International Journal of Psychophysiology, Scripta Scientifica Medica, Bulgarian Medical Journal, Scripta Scientifica Pharmaceutica, and others. She is the author and co-author of two monographs and three practical manuals.
