Ch. Assist. Prof. Radina Svetlozarova Fuchidzhieva, MD, PhD was born on July 11, 1989, in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2008, she completed her secondary education in Ruse at the "St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher" High School for European Languages, with a focus on English and Russian, and Spanish as a third foreign language. She graduated in 2014 with a medical degree from the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna.
Ch. Assist. Prof. Radina Svetlozarova Fuchidzhieva, MD, PhD began her medical career in 2014 as a physician in the Department of General and Vascular Neurology at Ruse General Hospital. Since November 2015, she has been specializing in neurology at the Second Clinic of Nervous Diseases with Stroke Unit and Intensive Neurology Unit at St. Marina University Hospital – Varna, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Silva Andonova.
In 2016, she participated in an international project by the European Stroke Organisation (ESO EAST), aimed at training nurses in the care and treatment of acute stroke patients. Following a competitive selection in February 2017, she was appointed as an Assistant at the Second Clinic of Nervous Diseases, within the Department of Neurology and Neurosciences at the Medical University of Varna. In August 2019, after another competitive process, she was enrolled as a full-time doctoral student in the same department.
Ch. Assist. Prof. Radina Svetlozarova Fuchidzhieva, MD, PhD conducts practical training for students in the programs of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Midwifery at the Medical University of Varna, including those studying in the English-language Medical program. She is fluent in English and Russian and has excellent computer skills.
In July 2020, she obtained her specialty in Neurology. Her professional interests include cerebrovascular diseases, demyelinating and inflammatory diseases of the nervous system, and epilepsy. She actively participates in international, national, and regional congresses, symposia, and scientific forums.
