In 1981, she graduated from the Language High School in Burgas, and in 1987, she completed her medical degree at the Medical University – Varna. From 1991 to 1995, she worked as a physician at the Hemodialysis Center – Vladislavovo, Fifth Polyclinic – Varna. Since 1995, she has been a Senior Assistant at the Clinic of Nephrology and Dialysis, University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna.
In 2015, she became an Associate Professor at the Clinic of Dialysis at University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna. In 2018, she was appointed Head of the Clinic of Nephrology and Dialysis and Head of the Teaching Sector of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Toxicology within the Second Department of Internal Medicine.

In 2000, she defended her PhD dissertation on the topic:
“Certain Factors Influencing Immune Reactivity in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing Periodic Dialysis and After Kidney Transplantation."
In 2015, she became an Associate Professor at the Clinic of Dialysis – University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna.
In 2018, she defended her Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertation on:
“Diagnosis and Treatment of Mineral and Bone Disorders in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Under Conservative and Dialysis Treatment."
In 2020, she was promoted to Professor at the Clinic of Nephrology, University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna.
Professional Interests:
Urinary tract infections, chronic kidney diseases, acute kidney injuries. Extracorporeal therapies – peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), chronic dialysis, and hemodiafiltration. Immunological disorders, viral and infectious diseases in CKD patients, vascular access for dialysis patients, CKD-MBD (Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder). She actively participates in national and international scientific conferences, congresses, and regional industry events on interdisciplinary and nephrology-related topics. She is a member of academic juries for awarding academic titles at MU-Sofia and MU-Varna and serves on state and semester examination committees for medical students in Internal Medicine.
She has over 170 scientific publications in Bulgarian and international journals. She participates annually in scientific conferences, congresses in Bulgaria and abroad, and regional nephrology events including roundtables.
She is the author of 2 monographs, and co-author of the monograph “Vascular Ultrasonography" and the Textbook of Nephrology edited by Prof. Paskalev.
Between 2017 and 2018, she co-authored two student manuals for 5th-year medical students:
“Guide to Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy" (in Bulgarian)
