Born in 1968. He completed his secondary education in 1986 and began studying medicine at the Medical University of Varna in 1989. In 2005 and 2011, he acquired specialties in "Internal Medicine" and "Cardiology," respectively, and in 2012, he also obtained a qualification in "Healthcare Management." Since 1995, he has been a physician at the Clinic of Cardiology and Rheumatology, and since 2001 – at the Second Clinic of Interventional Cardiology at St. Marina University Hospital. Since 2013, he has been leading the activities in angiography, interventional cardiology, and interventional neurology at the First Clinic of Cardiology with the Intensive Cardiac Unit (ICU) at St. Marina University Hospital.
Since 2013, he has also been a part-time assistant lecturer at the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Medical University of Varna. He was a PhD student in an independent form of study in the field of "Cardiology" at the same department (2016–2017). He earned the academic degree of "Doctor" after defending a dissertation on the topic "The Impact of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation on Left Ventricular Remodeling" (2017).
He has participated in numerous training courses, including a one-year program at the Cardiology Clinic of Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem (1997–1998), and further training at Charité University Hospital in Berlin with Professor Karl Stangl, among others. He has held the academic title of Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology since 2018.
