Dr. Boryana Georgieva completed her secondary education at the Foreign Language High School “Romain Rolland" in Stara Zagora in 2012, with a major in English and French. In 2018, she graduated with honors from the Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna. From September to December 2018, she was a part-time lecturer at the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the Medical University – Varna. Between October 2018 and January 2019, she worked as a physician at the Emergency Medical Center in Varna. Since January 2019, she has been a resident physician in the Clinic of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at University Hospital “St. Marina" in Varna. In September 2020, she enrolled as a full-time PhD student at the Department of Anesthesiology, Emergency and Intensive Care at the Medical University – Varna, and in October 2020, she became a full-time assistant at the same department. In 2023, she began her studies in the Master's program in Health Management at the Medical University – Varna. In 2024, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Changes in Water-Electrolyte Balance in Brain-Dead Organ Donors and Their Correction in the Intensive Care Unit." Later that same year, she obtained her specialty in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. Since March 2025, she has held the academic position of Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Anesthesiology, Emergency and Intensive Medicine at the Medical University – Varna. Her professional interests focus on intensive care management of brain-dead patients.
