Biography

Dr. Diana Dimcheva Nenova was born on January 11, 1987, in Burgas, Bulgaria. She completed her secondary education in 2006 at “St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Secondary School in Karnobat. In 2012, she graduated with honors from the Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna, majoring in Medicine. 

In February 2013, she began working as a resident physician at the Clinic of Nephrology and Dialysis at University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna. In December 2018, after successfully passing the state examination at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia, she obtained a specialty in Nephrology. 

Her academic career began in 2017 when she was appointed as a part-time assistant in Nephrology at MU–Varna. Since March 2018, she has served as a full-time assistant in Nephrology at the Second Department of Internal Medicine at the university. Between 2019 and 2022, Dr. Nenova was a full-time doctoral student at the same department. In April 2022, she successfully defended her dissertation titled:

“Adequacy of Dialysis Treatment and Its Relationship with Quality of Life and Survival in Patients with Stage V Chronic Kidney Disease,"

earning the educational and scientific degree “PhD"

​In April 2023, after a successful competitive procedure, Dr. Nenova was appointed as a Senior Assistant in the Teaching Sector of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Toxicology within the Second Department of Internal Medicine at MU–Varna.

Publications

She has published in both Bulgarian and international journals and is a co-author of the “Guide to Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy."
