Dr. Dinnar Yahya was born in Isperih in 1994. She graduated from “Alexander Pushkin" Language School, Varna, in 2011, and started her medical education in the same year. In 2017 she graduated from Varna Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" magna cum laude and became an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Genetics in April 2019. In November 2020 Dr. Yahya started her work as a Ph.D. student on the topic “Analysis of molecular-genetic markers of patients with acute myelogenous leukemia". The thesis was overseen by her two mentors – Prof. Ilina Micheva, MD, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Trifon Chervenkov, MD, Ph.D, and successfully defended in June 2024.
In 2023, Dr. Yahya became a specialist in Medical Genetics.
Dr. Yahya's main scientific interests are in the areas of cytogenetics, oncocytogenetics, and molecular oncogenetics. She enriches her knowledge and expertise continuously through participating in courses and conferences in the UK, Italy, France and others.
