Dimitar Borisov Topalov was born in Velingrad. He completed his secondary education at "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" Secondary School in Velingrad, specializing in natural sciences and mathematics, in 2013. From 2013 to 2019, he studied medicine at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna.
Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as a demonstrator in the First Department of Internal Medicine, cardiology sector. His professional career began in 2019 as a physician in the First Cardiology Clinic with an Intensive Cardiology Unit (ICCU). Since October 2020, he has been a cardiology resident and an assistant professor of cardiology in the First Department of Internal Medicine.
In January 2025, he obtained his specialization in cardiology. He is a certified specialist in echocardiography at the basic level, with primary interests in rhythm and conduction disorders. Additionally, he has completed multiple postgraduate qualification courses, specializing in electrocardiostimulation
