Dr. Meliz Gyursel was born on July 31, 1995, in Dulovo, Bulgaria. In 2014, she graduated with honors from “Vasil Levski" High School in Dulovo. She earned her master's degree in medicine with distinction from the Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna in 2020.
Between 2020 and 2022, Dr. Gyursel worked in the Department of Neurology in Dulovo. In January 2023, she was appointed as a resident physician at the First Clinic of Infectious Diseases at the University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna.
Since April 2023, following successful competitive academic examination, she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases, Parasitology, and Dermatovenereology, in the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University – Varna.
Dr. Gyursel conducts practical classes in Infectious Diseases for fifth-year medical students and fourth-year dental medicine students, both in Bulgarian and English-language programs.
