Assist. Prof. Milena Valerieva Andonova, MD was born on April 21, 1997, in Varna, Bulgaria. She graduated from the John Exarch Foreign Language High School – Varna in 2016, with specialization in English and French.
In the same year, she commenced her medical studies at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2022.
In April 2023, Dr. Andonova began her clinical career as a physician-resident at the Second Clinic of Nervous Diseases, including the Stroke Unit (OLONI) and the Intensive Care Unit for Neurological Diseases (ICUND) at St. Marina University Hospital – Varna.
Following a competitive selection in September 2023, she was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurology and Neurosciences, Medical University – Varna.
In December 2023, she began her PhD studies on the topic:
"Application of Mobile Technologies for Stroke Risk Assessment and Prevention."
