The Department of Nephrology, Hemodialysis and Toxicology is a specialized unit at Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna with established traditions in education, clinical practice, and scientific research in the fields of nephrology, dialysis treatment, and clinical toxicology.
The educational process in the discipline “Nephrology" combines contemporary theoretical preparation with practical classes and clinical training aimed at developing professional knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with kidney diseases.
Since 2018, the Head of the Department has been Prof. Svetla Vassileva Staykova, MD, PhD.
