Dr. Petar Plamenov Petrov was born on February 18, 1990, in the town of Targovishte. In 2009, he graduated from “Hristo Botev" High School in Popovo. He is fluent in English and German. From October 2014 to July 2015, he was a medical intern at the University Hospital “Carl Gustav Carus" in Dresden, Germany. In 2015, he graduated from the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna. That same year, he began working as a physician at the Nephrology Clinic of the University Hospital "St. Marina" in Varna.
Since 2017, he has been a full-time assistant at the Second Department of Internal Medicine, in the Teaching Sector of Nephrology, Hemodialysis, and Toxicology at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna. In 2020, he obtained a specialization in Nephrology. In February 2022, Dr. Petar Petrov defended his dissertation on the topic “Monitoring and Evaluation of Nutritional Status and Inflammatory Markers in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease." Following a competitive exam that same year, he was appointed as a senior assistant professor in the department. In October 2022, he began his second master's degree in “Health Management and Medico-Social Care" at the Faculty of Public Health, Medical University – Varna. He has participated in numerous professional development courses.
He has publications in both Bulgarian and international journals, and has participated in scientific congresses, conferences, and research studies.
