Dr. Svetoslava Slavcheva has worked as an assistant professor at the First Department of Internal Diseases, Educational Sector Cardiology, since 2019. She was born in 1972 in Varna. She obtained her medical degree in 1999 from the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna. She received her initial clinical experience at the Emergency Medical Center in Varna, where she worked for 8 years. Since 2007, she has been employed at the Intensive Care Unit of Cardiology at the First Cardiology Clinic of University Hospital "St. Marina" in Varna. In 2009, she received the specialty of "internal diseases" after concluding her practice in all therapeutic clinics at the University Hospital "St. Marina". Since 2014, she has been a specialist in cardiology. Her principal areas of research encompass ultrasound diagnostics of cardiac disorders and, more recently, cardiac toxicity of oncological treatments.
