Биография

Assoc. prof. Trifon Chervenkov was born in Varna on 15.03.1974. He graduated Medicine from Medical University Varna in 2001. Since 2002, he has worked as an assistant professor, senior assistant professor (2007) and chief assistant professor (2011) in the following departments: Department of chemistry and biochemistry, Department of Clinical medical sciences, Department of pediatrics and medical genetics, Department of Medical genetics. He is a specialist in: Biochemistry (2006), Clinical immunology (2012), and Medical genetics (2021). In 2015 he defended his PhD thesis entitled „Expression of the gene Cyclon/CCDC86 in cells from the immune and nervous systems of patients with schizophrenia".

He specialized HLA typing in the Clinic of immunology in University Hospital „Aleksandrovska", Sofia in 2003; HLA typing and molecular-diagnostic methods in hematology in Histocompatibility Ward of University Hospital Saint Louis, Paris, France in 2008. In 2009 he took part in a course on Real time quantitative PCR in the Technical University of Munich, Freising, Germany. In 2013 he visited the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation in the hospital in Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel. In 2014 he specialized processing and storage of hemopoietic stem cell in the Center for Cell therapy in the University Hospital of Hannover, Germany. He took part in several courses on flowcytometry in National Centre of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, Bulgaria. He attended 2nd Annual Biofluid Biopsies and High-Value Diagnostics Conference, 2015 in Boston, USA

He is author of more than 90 full-text publications and has many published abstracts from different national and international conferences. His main scientific interests are in biochemistry and molecular biology.
