Vesela Borisova was born in Lovesch, Bulgaria. She graduated with honors from the "Geo Milev" Language School in Dobrich with intensive study of German. In 2014, she graduated as a Master of Pharmacy from Medical University of Varna as the top graduate. As a student, she participated in several exchange programs. In 2012, she was the first pharmacy student to go on an exchange under the Erasmus program in Bari, Italy. In 2013, she participated in the student exchange program between MU-Varna and First Moscow State University, and later in 2013, she did an internship in Biochemistry under the CEEPUS program in Warsaw, Poland. Since 2015, she has been an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, also participating in the English-language teaching of the department. In the summer of 2015, she completed a one-month practical internship in Pharmacology at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. In 2020, she successfully defended a doctoral thesis entitled “Pharmacological Study of The Behavioural Effects of Chaenomeles Maulei in Experimental Animals". She obtained a specialty in Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy in May 2021. Since June 2021, she has held the academic position of "Chief Assistant Professor" at the department. She participates in the teaching of students in the specialties “Medicine", “Dental Medicine" and “Health Care Management".
