Dr. Zdravko Nunev was born in the city of Ruse in 1998, where he completed his secondary education at the “Geo Milev" English Language School. He graduated from the Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna in 2023. During his student years, he worked as a healthcare assistant at SBAGAL “Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stamatov" – Varna and served as a demonstrator at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Since January 2024, he has been a resident specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same hospital. After winning a competition in 2024, he was appointed as a full-time assistant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and as of 2025, he is enrolled in a full-time PhD program with a dissertation topic: “Prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, and Ureaplasma urealyticum in Late Spontaneous Abortions and Preterm Births."
Dr. Nunev's scientific interests include pathological pregnancy, ultrasound diagnostics in obstetric and gynecological practice, and normal and operative delivery.
He is a member of the BMA (Bulgarian Medical Association) and BSGO (Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology).
