In 2013 assoc. Prof. Georgi Todorov, MD, PhD graduated from the Medical University - "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna as a Master of Science in Medicine. In 2015, he defended his Master of Science degree in Health Management at the same university.
From 2010 to 2013, he was an intern and associate at the Imaging Clinic of the University Hospital "St. Marina" - Varna, while also being an intern at the First Surgery Clinic of the same hospital. From 2013 to the present, Dr. Georgi Todorov has been working as a resident physician in the Angiography Sector at the "Imaging Diagnostics" Clinic of the University Hospital "St. Marina" - Varna. From 2013 to 2017, he has been a part-time lecturer at the Medical College - Varna.
In 2016, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Interventional approaches and diagnostics in malignant diseases of the hepatobiliary system" and obtained the educational and scientific degree "Doctor". Since 2017, Dr. Todorov has been appointed as a full-time assistant at the Department of "Imaging Diagnostics and Radiotherapy" at the Medical University - Varna. Since June 2018, he has been appointed to the academic position of "Chief Assistant" at the same Department. Since 2021, he holds the academic position of Associate Professor.
Dr. Todorov has undergone numerous trainings and specializations in Bulgaria and a number of European countries: in Malmö, Sweden "Endorectal ultrasound", specialization in interventional procedures on the hepatobiliary system in Brno, Czech Republic, in Stockholm, Sweden, he is undergoing specialization in "Neurovascular Interventions" in Dublin, Ireland, and is undergoing a course in interventional procedures for diseases of the liver, pancreas and stomach. Dr. Georgi Todorov is constantly improving his professional skills by participating in a number of Bulgarian and world congresses.
Over 60 publications at congresses in international and Bulgarian scientific journals.
