Assoc. Prof. Chavdar Hristov Bachvarov MD, PhD

Born in 1966 in the city of Lovech. Completed secondary education - Mathematical High School "Dr. Petar Beron" - Varna, 1984. In 1992, he graduated from the Medical University - Varna. From 1992-1994, he worked as a doctor at the Municipal Hospital of Omurtag. From 1994 to 2017, he worked as a resident doctor in the Angiography Sector at the Clinic for "Imaging Diagnostics" of the University Hospital "St. Marina" in Varna. Since 1999, he has been a specialist in imaging diagnostics. Since 2007, he has been the Head of the Angiography Sector at the Clinic for "Imaging Diagnostics" of the University Hospit​al "St. Marina" in Varna. In 2016 defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "ENDOVASCULAR TREATMENT OF RUPTURED INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSMS, ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATIONS AND CAROTIDOCAVERONOUS FISTULAS". In 2007, he was certified with a certificate for "Invasive imaging diagnostics and interventional radiology". Dr. Bachvarov has a number of specializations in leading centers in Europe: Switzerland - vascular interventions, Belgium - peripheral vascular interventions, in Greece, Germany, and France he specializes in endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, as well as endovascular treatment of ischemic strokes.
