Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesela Ivancheva MD, FEBO

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesela Ivancheva, MD, FEBO was born in Pleven. In 2005, she graduated from the Medical University of Pleven, majoring in Medicine. In 2014, she obtained a specialization in Eye Diseases (Medical University of Varna), as well as a European Diploma in Ophthalmology in Paris, France. In the same year, she defended her dissertation on the topic "Comparative analysis of topographic and microstructural methods for assessing the cornea in norm and pathology" and obtained the scientific degree "Doctor" in Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Varna. In 2017, she graduated from the Master's program at the Medical University of Pleven with a specialization in "Public Health and Health Management". In 2018, she obtained the academic position of "Associate Professor" at the Medical University of Pleven. Since 2014, she has been working as an ophthalmologist at the "Oculus" Eye Center in Pleven, and from 2016 to 2022 - at the Eye Clinic at the University Hospital - Pleven. From 1.12.2022 to 1.08.2023 Assoc. Prof. Ivancheva is Deputy Director of the Veliko Tarnovo Affiliate, Medical University - Varna. From 2.08.2023. she has been appointed Director of the Veliko Tarnovo Affiliate.

Assoc. Prof. Ivancheva has numerous participations in scientific forums in Bulgaria and abroad, and over 45 scientific publications in Bulgarian and foreign publications. She is the winner of The Alan Ridgeway Award, European Board of Ophthalmology examination, 2014, Paris, France.
