Born in Varna. Graduated with a degree in Bulgarian Philology from Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" in 2000. Since 2007, she has been a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Language Teaching, Communication and Sports at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna.
In 2014, she defended a dissertation titled "Speaking skills as a productive component of communicative competence in Bulgarian as a foreign language for general and academic purposes (based on the European Certification Language System ECL)" at the Department of Bulgarian Language, Faculty of Slavic Philology, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". In 2016, she completed a degree in English Philology at Shumen University "Konstantin Preslavsky". She became an associate professor in 2018. She teaches courses in Bulgarian grammar (in English) and communication skills in medical practice.
Author of the monograph How We Talk About Health. Co-author of textbooks. Has publications in the fields of foreign language teaching, modern Bulgarian language, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, comparative linguistics, and medical communication.
Member of the ECL. Coordinator and expert (examiner and test developer) for Bulgarian as a foreign language for the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages – Pécs, Hungary.
