She is a graduate of the National School of Ancient Languages and Cultures in Sofia. She completed her Master's degree in Classical Philology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (1993). She also earned a Master's degree in Law from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar" (2010).
She has worked as a lecturer in Latin and Ancient Greek at University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" (1993–1996) and at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" (2001–2006). She specialized in Legal Latin at Sofia University (1995) and Roman Law at the “International School of Roman Law" at the University of Warsaw (2002).
Since 2007, she has been teaching Latin and medical terminology at the Department of Foreign Language Teaching, Communication and Sports at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. P. Stoyanov" – Varna.
She obtained her PhD from University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" with a dissertation titled “Terminographic Strategies in Teaching Clinical Terminology to Students of the Medical Specialties" (2017). She was awarded the academic rank of Associate Professor with a monograph titled “Image-Sensory Designations in Clinical Terms of Greek and Latin Origin (A Look Behind the Curtain of Terminological Naming)."
She is the author of textbooks and teaching materials in Latin and medical terminology, as well as two monographs and over 30 scholarly publications in the fields of classical language teaching methodology, Greco-Latin medical terminology, terminography, translation techniques, e-learning, Roman law, and Legal Latin.
