Ch. Asst. Prof. Nadezhda Ivanova is born on 26 June 1989 in Varna, Bulgaria. She graduated from the I-st Language School in Varna in 2008. In 2012, as a student in Pharmacy, she worked on a diploma thesis titled "Characterization of textural and rheological properties of semi-solid bioadhesive dosage forms for topical application" at the Department of "Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technologies" of "Universidad de Sevilla", Seville, Spain. In 2013, she obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Medical University - Sofia, Bulgaria. Since 2014, she has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of MU-Varna in the Department of "Pharmaceutical Technologies". She specialized in "Technology of Drug Dosage Forms and Biopharmacy" and got certified in 2019. She obtained a PhD degree in "Pharmaceutical Chemistry" with a thesis on "New Aspects in the Analysis of Diltiazem-Based Polymeric Drug Delivery Systems". Since 2021, she has been a Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technologies of MU-Varna. In 2023, she was enrolled as a second-time PhD student in the doctoral program of "Technology of Drug Dosage Forms and Biopharmacy" with a thesis focused on the "Green Synthesis and Functionalization of Silver Nanoparticles with Applicability as Microbicidal and Antitumor Agents in Mucosal and Dermal Dosage Forms". Ch. Asst. Prof. Ivanova's scientific work is devoted to pharmaceutical nanotechnologies with a focus on inorganic and polymeric nanomaterials, dermal, rectal, nasal, and oromucosal dosage forms, biopharmaceutical control, and drug stability.
