Prof. Evgeni Grigorov was born on 28.05.1979 in Sofia. In 1997, he graduated with honors from the Second English Language High School "Thomas Jefferson", Sofia, majoring in "Chemistry and Biology". He graduated as a Master of Pharmacy from the Medical University - Sofia (graduation 2002). In 2005, he completed a second master's degree in "Health Policy and Healthcare Management" at the New Bulgarian University (NBU). Prof. Evgeni Grigorov also obtained a second higher education with a Bachelor's degree in "Economics", majoring in "Finance" (2013) and a Master's degree in "Economics", majoring in "Business Logistics" (2017) from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE).
In 2014 acquired the educational and scientific degree "Doctor" in the scientific specialty "Social Medicine and Organization of Healthcare and Pharmacy" from the National Center for Public Health and Analyses. His dissertation is on the topic: "Research and pharmacoeconomic evaluation of the prevention of risk factors and therapy in ICD", his scientific supervisors are Prof. Dr. Petko Salchev and Prof. Ilko Getov.
He is fluent in English and French. He uses Russian. He has an expert level of computer knowledge. He has acquired pedagogical competence (level I).
He has extensive and versatile professional experience, which is demonstrated by the managerial, expert and strategic level of his knowledge and skills, both in the pharmaceutical field and in the field of public health and the organization of healthcare. During the period 2020-2021, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Health.
The development of the academic career of Prof. mag. pharm. Evgeni Grigorov, PhD, followed by successive appointments as an assistant professor after winning a competition in the Department of "Organization and Economics of Pharmacy" at MU-Sofia (2007), election as a senior assistant professor at the same department (2010) and chief assistant professor (2011). He habilitated as an associate professor at MU-Varna in March 2015. He acquired five specialties in the field of healthcare: "Organization and Economics of Distribution and Pharmacy Practice" (since 2006), "Clinical Pharmacy" (since 2009), "Healthcare Economics" (since 2012), "Organization and Economics of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing" (since 2020) and "Hospital Pharmacy" (since 2023)
Prof. mag. pharm. Evgeni Grigorov, PhD lectures as a guest lecturer at MU-Sofia, NBU, UNWE and MU-Pleven. He also teaches pharmaceutical topics to cadets at the Military Medical Academy. He leads postgraduate and continuing education courses for higher medical and non-medical personnel at MU-Varna and the MMA.
