Born in Varna. Graduated in Pharmacy from MU-Sofia in 2003. Since 2005 works as an assistant professor at the Department of Pharmacology at MU - Varna. In 2011 he was enrolled as a PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Pharmacology in 2010. In 2013, he defended his PhD thesis at the Section of Drug Design and Biochemical Pharmacology of the Institute of Molecular Biology at BAS. Dissertation topic: Design, synthesis and pharmacological characterization of peptide mimetics of endomorphin-2, morphiceptin and RGD with analgesic and antitumor activity. He had a one-year specialization (2006-2007) at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg as a DAAD Fellow. In 2014, he was appointed Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Preclinical and Clinical Sciences, Board of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Since 2015 he has been habilitated as Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacotherapy. During the period 2016-2020 he was Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. In 2020 he defended his dissertation and obtained the degree of Doctor of Science in the field of Pharmacology (including Pharmacokinetics and Chemotherapy) with the topic "Identification, analysis and evaluation of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic drug interactions". In the same year he was elected Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacotherapy, where he became "Professor" in 2022. He has three specialties: Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy.
He has over 80 specialized publications and over 50 participations in congresses and symposia. The main publications and contributions are in the field of drug-drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, experimental chemotherapy, molecular biology, peptide chemistry and drug design
Member of Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union (since 2003), Bulgarian Pharmacological Society (since 2005), Bulgarian Peptide Society (since 2011) and European Peptide Society (2013).
