Research areas include:
- Polarization optical recording in photoanisotropic polymers;
- Photoinduced anisotropy;
- Corrosion resistance of laser-treated austenitic steels;
- Antioxidant activity and optical analysis methods for foods, extracts, and oils with pharmaceutical applications (laser refractometry, colorimetry, applied photonics);
- Optical properties of food products;
- Mathematical and statistical modeling of herbal extracts, foods, and beverages;
- Radiation protection and patient dose assessment in the use of ionizing radiation;
- Application of medical Physics in Diagnostic Imaging
Faculty members have authored over 300 publications in national and international journals and proceedings. Department physicists also conduct specialized training for medical use of ionizing radiation.
