Ch. Assist. Prof. Simeonka Dimitrova Dimitrova, MSPharm, PhD was born in Varna in 1974. She graduated from the VII Secondary School "Naiden Gerov" (with extended study of German and Russian), and in 2003 - higher education at the Medical University - Sofia, specialty "Pharmacy".
From 1994 to 2016 she worked as a deputy manager and manager in the pharmacy network, and in the Hospital Pharmacy of the University Hospital "St. Marina" EAD - Varna, where since 2019 she has held the position of "Clinical Pharmacist" and as such participates in clinical trials at the University Hospital.
Since 2015 is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of MU-Varna, Department of Preclinical and Clinical Sciences, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and since 2016 has been teaching pharmacology and pharmacotherapy at the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacotherapy at the Faculty of Pharmacy at MU-Varna.
In May 2021, she defended her dissertation on the topic "Study of the effects of intravenous lipid infusion in acute intoxications with some xenobiotics" for the acquisition of the educational and scientific degree "Doctor".
The main professional interests and specializations of Ch. Assist. Prof. Simeonka Dimitrova Dimitrova, MSPharm, PhD are in the following areas: acute intoxications, oncological and hematological medications in clinical practice.
In 2019, she acquired a specialty in "Clinical Pharmacy". She conducted trainings with acquired certificates in the Master class in Oncology Pharmacy - a basic course on the topic "Pharmaceutical practice in preparation and safe work with cytotoxic drugs", organized by the European Society of Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP), 2016 and training "Role of hospital pharmacy and hospital pharmacist in clinical trials: Good clinical practice and local legislation", organized by the Bulgarian Association for Clinical Trials, 2017.
