Dr. Dimitar Marinov graduated from the Medical University of Varna in 2017 with honors, after which he began working as a visiting assistant professor at the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics.
After a competition in 2019, he was appointed as a regular assistant professor in the same department.
In 2021 he successfully defended his PhD degree with a dissertation entitled "Nutritional status and physical activity in idiopathic adolescent scoliosis in Varna".
He participates in the teaching of Hygiene and Ecology to students of Medicine and Dentistry.
In connection with his research activities he has over 10 publications in Bulgarian and international scientific journals and over 10 participations in congresses and conferences..

He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Bulgarian Society of Public Health, European Public Health Association - EUPHA.
