Prof. Gergana Nenova, PhD, DSc was born in Ruse, Bulgaria. She acquired a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in “Kinesitherapy" at “Angel Kunchev" - University of Ruse in 1999 and a Master's Degree in “Health Management" at Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna in 2014. She defended her dissertation on “The Contribution of the Physiotherapist to Public Health and the Development of Integrated Care" in 2016. She has been habilitated since 2017. She defended her dissertation on “Kinesitherapy Following Hip Replacement with a Custom Femoral Stem" and received Scientific Degree “Doctor of Sciences" in Kinesitherapy in 2020. She was chosen for the Academic Position “Professor" in 2021. She is a kinesitherapist at the Clinic of Orthoapaedics and Traumatology at UMHAT “St. Marina" - Varna. She has been an honorary Assistant at Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna since 2014. She has been appointed as Assistant at TS “Rehabilitator", Medical College, MU-Varna since 2016. Prof. G. Nenova, PhD, DSc has been Head of TS “Kinesitherapy" at the Department of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Thalassotherapy and Occupational Diseases since 2018 and Head of the Department of “Kinesitherapy" at Faculty of Public Health, MU-Varna since 2021.
She has over 60 publications in Bulgarian and international journals in the field of Kinesitherapy, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Integrative Care and Quality of Education. She has participated in over 40 national and international scientific forums.
