Student's life

As you will see, student life at our University is absolutely awesome and dynamic. The events and initiatives, taking place here follow the line "by students for students, with a strong desire and willingness, and with the full support of the academic management". The main engine is the Student Council – an academic management structure and a students' representative body, supporting the majority of the social activities.

If you are fond of team games and sports, and you'd rather not only cheer from the stands or on the couch watching TV, you can join the University volleyball, basketball or football teams, who can boast professional coaches, in addition to their passionate players of international origin. You will have the opportunity to compete in various sports disciplines with colleagues from the other universities in the city and the country during the annual sports tournaments "Universiade", "Rector's Cup", "Summer University" and "Winter Universiade".

Provided you are an artistic personality, we will give you a chance and a stage to show your talent. There is a theatre group and a rock band in our University. Students organise Talents' Nights, as well as a number of charitable campaigns such as Christmas Bazaar, March Bazaar and Easter Bazaar, creating and selling for charity cards, decorations and handmade martenichki.

If you happen to come to our annual International Culinary Party, you will taste the traditional delicious dishes of more than 34 countries around the world, prepared by our international students.

Annual scientific events such as the International Symposium of Young Scientists (BSYSB) are also held here.  Plenty of health campaigns on the occasion of the world day to combat AIDS, oral cavity cancer, breast cancer, free diabetes tests are organised, with the participation of the student associations (the Association of Medical Students, the Association of Dental Students and the Association of Students of Pharmacy), whose members our student are. Students and lecturers donate blood during the blood donation campaigns. A children's event under the international project Teddy Bear Hospital is carried out annually.

Finally, when we add the favourable climatic conditions, the golden sand, the sea waves, Varna's sights and dozens of landmarks that will fascinate you, the idea of what it really means to be a student at the Medical University of Varna becomes absolutely vivid.

To cut a long story short, come and see what the student life at our University is really like!
