It is my privilege to congratulate you on 7th April – World Health and Health Worker Day!
This day has always been an occasion to look back on the results achieved and to take pride in the profession we have chosen, an occasion to get united and a day when the society appreciates to the highest extent the contribution of our daily work. In 2021, we welcome our holiday in quite a different context, with no time for celebration, facing the challenge of a round-the-clock battle for the life and health of the Bulgarian citizens. For more than a year, health workers have been proving their professionalism, high morality and humanity. That is why on that today our society owes you an enormous THANK YOU!
Despite the problems, I am positive that we will go on working to improve the working conditions and modernisation of the healthcare facilities, because I believe that the development of the system is a process, and it depends on the energy of every one of us.
Thank you for your inextinguishable energy every day for enhancing the authority and for the prosperity of our work. I wish you strength and confidence to face the challenges of the days to come, and satisfaction and gratitude in the eyes of patients. Keep alive that human warmth and willingness to help the suffering, which outline the professional paths of all health workers around the world!
I wish health and happiness to you and your families, who bear on an equal basis with you the daily burden of your professional cause.
